Content Qualifiers Overview
Overview
Content qualifiers are just attributes that you have specified in the settings as qualifiers for content. What this means is that, based on the value of this attribute, the system will decide whether or not a piece of content is eligible for inclusion in the response before any rules go into play.
One centralized dashboard allows you to create, manage and deliver personalized campaigns across any channels like desktop, phones, tablets, call centers, emails, and in-store. Before you can use Engage, your Algonomy team will need to set up your account with both Engage and User Profile Service.
Content Qualifiers
The most pervasive reasoning for using content qualifiers, is that banner content is usually created in differing pixel sizes. If an item of content is 100x300 pixels, then it will get stretched to the point of illegibility if it is placed in a content frame that is 50 pixels wide by 50 pixels high.
In order to avoid this happening, there is this initial safety gauge where only items that are confirmed ahead of time by the user as eligible for each placement will ever be selected for that placement.
You can set the content qualifier on a per-layout basis. When you create a new Engage layout, you will see a button labeled “Content Qualifications” at the top-right corner of the layout editor screen. Click on this, and you will be able to set one or more qualifiers for this layout. Select from the dropdown the attribute that you will qualify on and then, in the text box, type in the qualified value. Add more if you wish using the plus sign below. Once you are done with this and the layout, save and publish.
